When and where is the 2024 reaccreditation, and when do we check in?

  • The California MRA 2024 Reaccreditation will take place on Saturday, March 2nd.
  • Your team is encouraged to check-in Friday afternoon, March 1st.
  • Teams arriving on Saturday morning can also check-in but should plan to be there early (e.g., 0600 hours).
  • The event will take place at Convict Lake, in the Inyo National Forest. The address is 2000 Convict Lake Rd, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546.

How many people can we bring to the reaccreditation event?

  • To ensure we have the proper resources, and to ensure we do not exceed the number of people authorized by our special use permit issued by USFS, the following limits are established for this reaccreditation.
  • No more than 12 members of a team may participate in the field tests (i.e., max 12 people on a team for testing)
  • Each team must also provide two qualified evaluators (i.e., proctors) who will score other teams. These proctors are in addition to the 12 team members allowed in the field tests.
  • Maximum of 6 additional support members or guests at the event.
  • Test victims will be supplied separately. Teams do not need to bring additional people for testing. Based on the above, each team can have no more than 20 people at the event.

Will there be reaccreditation merchandise (e.g., shirts/hats) for sale?

  • Yes, the order form is now live. Visit the Recert Merch page for a listing of all available merch and a link to the order form.
  • Each team is to place one order per team, individual orders cannot be accepted. Orders will be available for pick-up at team check-in in Convict Lake beginning Friday March 1st. The last day to place an order is Sunday January 28th.
  • The Altadena Mountain Rescue Team is hosting this years event at Convict Lake Resort. To help offset the cost of hosting, we are offering merchandise available to all teams.
